…The German ensemble P.O. presented a version of the Orpheus and Eurydike myth under a huge steel structure reminiscent of the scale rock groups use for macro concerts. It is an air theatre performance in which it is possible to experience the so-called Furero language (La Fura dels Baus). Thus, the entire audience is below the structure mentioned and a few vehicles cross through it, gently obliging the people to move.
There are other details which bring to mind works of “La Fura”, but the way scenes are treated is something completely different from the usual of the Catalan group. The spectacle with text (in Spanish), acrobatics up high in the air and plenty of opera can be performed as an open-air event or in an enclosed space (a large hangar is then required), the German ensemble confirms. It is very likely that such a space would lend even more force to the poetic images and gentle rhythm of the performance with its numerous opera fragments ...
