Christmas Oratorium in images.
The Christmas Oratorium by J.S. Bach is extended to include dance and film sequences. The first three cantatas are arranged musically in a specific symmetrical form. Their content describes a process of an emotional coming of age. Expectation follows encounter, encounter is followed by devotion. These themes comprise the background of the choreographical works. A great work of church music rich in tradition is approached from an entirely new angle.
